Oleksii’s Story: A Parent’s Perspective on Progress
For Oleksii’s family, the journey with Mozaika has now lasted two years. Looking back, the beginning was not easy. Adapting to the school environment took time. There were challenges, uncertainties, and moments when progress did not come quickly.
What made the difference, as his parent describes, was the school’s approach — attentiveness, kindness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to each child’s development.
From the very start, Oleksii was not treated as a standard case, but as an individual.
The teachers built their work around him — his pace, his needs, his strengths. Lessons were designed to engage him, maintain his attention, and gradually build motivation. Different methods were used to explain material, ensuring that understanding did not depend on just one way of learning.
Over time, something important began to shift.
Today, Oleksii goes to school willingly.
He is more engaged, more stable in his routine, and more open to learning.
For his family, this is already a meaningful change.
Another important part of this journey has been the connection between school and home. Regular communication, daily photo reports, and the ability to stay in contact with teachers and specialists have allowed Oleksii’s parents to remain closely involved in his development. They are not outside observers, but active participants, able to understand his progress, discuss challenges, and receive practical recommendations.
This continuity has played a key role.
Over the course of his learning, Oleksii has become more independent and more disciplined. He has developed new skills and gained knowledge, but just as importantly, he has become more confident in navigating everyday situations.
One of the most significant changes has been in his speech.
At the beginning, Oleksii had considerable difficulties with communication. He used very little speech, which limited his ability to interact with others and express his needs.
Through consistent work by teachers and specialists, and with the support of his family, this began to change.
First, individual words appeared.
Then simple phrases.
Step by step, speech became a tool he could rely on.
Today, Oleksii is able to communicate with the people around him. For his family, this is not just progress — it is a breakthrough that has changed everyday life.
It has allowed him to be understood, to participate, and to connect.
Stories like Oleksii’s show how important it is to look beyond immediate results and focus on building the right environment around a child.
At CO Mosaics, we support exactly this kind of work — where education, therapy, and family involvement come together to create sustainable progress. Where each child is given the time, attention, and professional support they need to move forward.
Because real change is rarely immediate.
But when it happens, it transforms not only the child’s abilities, but the life of the whole family.
